The 'Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy' Soundtrack Is Amazing, Here's Every Song (2025)

It's the film that promises to break, mend and warm even the iciest of hearts, but one of the biggest treats of the Bridget Jones's Diary film franchise — the fourth of which, Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy is now in UK cinemas — is its toe-tapping soundtrack.

Since the first film's release in 2001, the responsibility for score of the films have passed through several different hands. Patrick Doyle was responsible for the score of the original Bridget Jones's Diary, which introduced audiences to our now-favourite hapless heroine in all of her messy, unfinished glory; while the second film's soundtrack was the brainchild of Harry Gregson-Williams, who weaved Will Young's cover of Sade's 'Your Love Is King' and Mary J. Blige's buttery take on 'Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word' into the movie.

By the time the third film, Bridget Jones's Baby, rolled around in 2016, Craig Armstrong had taken the reins and composed the score, which included Ellie Goulding's single 'Still Falling For You,' which she wrote especially for the film.

Now that the fourth instalment, Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy has landed in cinemas, we finally have its soundtrack to play on repeat, too, with British star Olivia Dean the voice behind its lead single, an original song called 'It's Not Perfect, But It Might Be'. Fellow Brit Jessie Ware's single 'Pearls' also features. The brains behind the fourth film's musical genius is Dustin O'Halloran, who also included songs from Al Green, Fatboy Slim and David Bowie, in the upcoming flick.

Mad About The Boy might be Bridget's final chapter, but there's nothing to stop any of us from playing all four of the soundtracks again and again (and again).
